Well sometimes you may feel a lag in your iPhone home button, sometime home button doesn’t work at all. This problem is very annoying, because you need home button to multitask, apps to exit or to Siri to start.

A repair can solve the problem by replacing the home button, but that costs money. Often the problem is much cheaper and faster to solve, by re-calibrating the home button. You can perform this procedure without risk, even if you (still) do not suffer from problems with the home button.

Does it seem like your home button unresponsive, slow or faulty, then you solve this as follows:

1. Start one of the standard apps on your iPhone, for example, Clock, Weather, Music, iTunes or Shares.
2. Press the on / off button until the red Shut off ‘message appears. Now release the on / off button. The message remains on the screen.
3. Press the home button until the ‘Turn off’ message disappears. The app is now forced closed.

You now return to the home screen of your iPhone and your home button works again as usual.The re-calibration of the home button works on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
