iPhone 5 is The Most Difficult Device to Build : Foxconn

First iPhone 5 was shipped a month ago and currently it is available in 30+ countries, in terms of shipping to order from Apple Store: they still are 3-4 weeks. Who are the “wrong”? Foxconn or Apple?
Taiwan based Hon Hai Precision Industry, parent company of Foxconn with factories across China, and assembles many Apple products including the new iPhone. An anonymous source to WSJ revealed the mystery.
iPhone 5 – the most sophisticated device of all that Foxconn ever assembled. To ensure the slim and light, the design had to be much more complex. It takes time to figure out how to make this device. Improvements come with experience. Every day our performance improves.
The representative also spoke about the “Scuffgate”, scratches that factory workers left in the assembly process. Foxconn has strengthened quality control to avoid similar cases, but cover iPhone 5 has an effect, he said.
Satisfy both aesthetic and practical needs at the same time – it is always difficult.
